A man wrapped up in himself makes a very small bundle

You will find, as you look back on your life, that the moments that stand out
are the moments when you have done things for others."
- Henry Drummond

It's very well known that usually people are more giving in Ramadan than any other month, even though I fully disapprove of this & think it should be all year round – it's a good thing & we should accept it as is.

Initiatives, organizations, companies, charity groups all race to be the biggest givers – even though I suspect it's a part of shameless self promotion & to gain recognition – it's still a good thing & should be accepted as is.

A group of a women at Ibda3 (جمعية مركز ابداع الطفل الخيرية.) have set up a Ramadan tent, next to City Mall (map - end of post ) where they host 100 orphans a day throughout the holy month.

A 4jd meal offered to the kids, as well as a delicious treat, donated toys, school bags, candy, & anything the good people of the world provide.

It's such an amazing heartwarming experience & I must take a moment to thank these women who could be spending time with their own families but opt to do this simple gesture showing many that even though we all have problems, economy crisis, sicknesses, diseases, poverty..etc. taking the time-out to tell those weak easily-defeated excuse infused naysayers – that YES WE CAN.

Also thank you to Ali Dahmash – for introducing me (& many others) to this

of course his undying passion to be an active member of his society & helping others through his Blog http://blog.undermyolivetree.com/

It's really quite simple – they're looking for every kind of donation, material or monetary.
You can simply just volunteer to help around – 6:45pm till approximately 8pm

4JDs is the price of a complete meal – it's up to you if you'd like to pay for any # of meals

140 is how much renting the tent costs per day.

Transportation fairly costs 75JDs for the kids

In total it rounds up to 500JDs per day. Many kind hearted – selfless people have donated that full amount.

It's all about what you can give, there's so much we can/must do that it's
conceivable people look the other way when asked to help a child.
